Yes, the title is a catch line but it ain't a work of fiction. My entire life I have grown up loving sci-fi, horror, fantasy, and such. Count the number of times which you have watched a film about an unstoppable superbug destroying all civilisation. Now, it may not saying it's happening today, but elements of a Hollywood script are screaming out for it to written about at a later date.
At the moment India is seeing a massive drug boom.Overall the USA as the main driving factor, so much so within the next 5 years they are expected to hit profits of 55 billion dollars a year.
That's all fine and dandy but its the process of manufacturing and the method of dumping their waste which is causing a crisis. In Hyderabad the capital city of southern India's Telangana state we find the epicenter of production with manufacturing waste being dumped in the local rivers, lakes, and streams.
Obviously this would cause some issues but wait till I tell you about the extent of the situation.
Most cases is a wait and see if the body can fight of the sickness type of event because all the strongest antibiotics are not working. The people of the Area suspect the water but the doctors have given no explanation why everyone is getting sick and nothing is working to help them.
One of the inhabitants of the area told the reporters that in March 2000 in a lake about 450 square km in size all the fish died at one time. Floating to the top of the water and washing up on shore. They know the water is poisoned with industrial chemicals, but they are getting no answers or solutions.
These companies continue to manufacture and market these drugs as lifesaving but in the area they are being manufactured they are killing the population.
Currently the mainstream media refers to these complex viruses and bacteria as superbugs which for once I would say is a very accurate description. A gene called MDM1 was found that it could turn basically any basic bacteria into an unstoppable superbug.
We were warned about this by fiction writers for years and partially it is coming true, the extents of which we are yet to fully see unfold.
As you would expect, the mainstream media in India is neglecting its public and not created much public awareness. Health officials have begun to see cases popping up everywhere in India but these are only the ones making it in the medical facilities, in these types of events the actual numbers are generally much higher than the reported numbers leading to a false sense of security as it turns into a pandemic.
He explains that the treatment plant is meeting all the standards and guidelines set out by the government environmental protection agency. And that the water meets all the standards over and over. So the reporter presses on about what do they actually test for and what is considered the standard.
They find just as in the western world, treatment plants are not required to test for pharmaceuticals and antibiotics in the water so they don't know exactly how much is being dumped in or what possible side effects may arise from drinking the water or using it.
Just a quick google search and bring you up a list of articles and papers on small to large dose of various compounds being found in drinking water across the western world when independently tested specifically for these compounds which we are told. One of my ones that sticks out in my mind is estrogen, birth control, mood stabilizers all sorts of stuff.
